If people want to give shoes to underpivileged children without being problematic, why not buy non-name brands and use the extra money to buy shoes to donate directly to a local shelter? I went on the TOMS website and most women's shoes seemed to be $54, and then I went on the Target website and found two similar pairs of women's shoes and two similar pairs of kids' shoes for $53.96 - shipping all those shoes to other countries probably pushes up the cost, too!
