David Bowie’s new music video is amazing. It’s not just a music video it’s a piece of ART about the haunting nature of fame and fortune and how the idea of glamor and excitement and having more will drive you insane.
Today I’m doing womenswear inspired by menswear. Fashion has long favored androgyny, it’s just mostly leaned towards women mascuilinizing themselves. The idea of the feminine man has been catching up in recent years (as one of the video’s stars, Andrej Pejic gorgeously embodies), but the stigma is still there: a man who feminizes himself is lessening himself, women are less than men unless they become more masculine.
